Let me know how I can encourage you

Blog quote 11As Thanksgiving nears, I am reminded of my blessings. And you, my readers, immediately come to mind.

I am remembering you, and praying for your heart to be encouraged for the many ways you have blessed me throughout this past year:

  • You have asked great, thought-provoking questions that have forced me to go to God’s Word to find adequate biblical answers for you.
  • You have left encouraging comments on my blog and through emails that have kept me going on days when I wondered if what I write really makes a difference in anyone’s lives.
  • You have talked up my books and are the reason so many of them are still in print, and more are still being written.

Now, I’d love to know how I can encourage you.

Please leave a comment here on my blog and let me know how I can encourage YOU in the next year…through topics you’d like me to address, specific ways you’d like me to pray for you, or whatever else I can do to encourage your heart.

As the Apostle Paul said:

I thank my God in all my remembrance of you,  always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all, in view of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now” (Philippians 1:3-5).

I would not be writing books or blogs today if YOU weren’t out there reading them. So … thank you. Have a blessed Thanksgiving. And please leave a comment in the section below and let me know how I can bless YOU.

The Christmas season is always difficult for me. As a single disabled woman, I feel
alone and my family does not always get together for Christmas. I live in a
retirement home with my mom and I know she feels lonely as well. My father
passed away last year and its hard for both of us. I Praise Jesus that I know him
even if the holiday season is not what I would like it to be.

Sweet Elena, thank you for once again letting me know what's going on in your life. I praise Jesus, too, that you know Him and you can find hope in Him, if not in your circumstances. My prayer for you today -- and through this season -- is that you will sense His peace, comfort and JOY this time of year. Joy is not in our circumstances, but in our condition...and you are a child of His, and a woman much loved. Blessings to you, my friend.

I feel like God's been telling me since around last Spring to "not be jealous of things that bring Him glory". I'm not quite sure if I'm even describing this correctly. But He even gave me a picture of how Satan was once an angel and he got kicked out of heaven because he wanted some glory that only belonged to God. This is a topic my husband and I have been discussing and praying over and I feel God wants to sanctify us more in this area. Honestly I don't think of myself as a jealous person. However I know there are many things that totally glorify God that I might say "I want a ministry like that" or "I want to write like her" and my husband may have thoughts like that with other song-writers that are on the radio. Instead I (we) should just be praising God that He is glorified so much. I don't know if this is even making sense how I'm describing it, as I feel like it's hard to describe. Thanks Cindi! You are so encouraging and it's so awesome that you ask for your readers advice on what they want to hear. :)

Thank you, Amber. I appreciate the way you think deeply and make me think deeper, too. :) I appreciate, too, your sensitive heart to His leading.

Hi Cindi, I hope you and your family had a happy and blessed thanksgiving. I would like prayer because i feel overwhelmed. I found out a week ago im pregnant with our fourth, 7 weeks. I already feel like my husband and I don't get to spend much time together, or God, my truest love. This year has been a tough one and I feel God has been quiet to me. I wonder if He's still with me. Thank you for your posts they have blessed me. Your devotionals in God's whispers to a woman's heart are sweet too. It seems like I live in condemnation lately from my past. Everytime i think im moving forward, it seems i take two steps back. In the incoming year I'd like to read how to deal with in laws. My mother in law and I have never gotten along. She is constantly meddling in our marriage and I'm tired of it.

I would also like to read topics about encouraging myself in the Lord. How to trust in the Lord. Thank you Cindi. Have a blessed night you and your family. God bless all your readers. Amen.

Brittany, thank you for your comments. I will certainly be praying about your pregnancy and your marriage. Remember, this fourth baby doesn't take God by surprise. :) I will be writing lots of future blogs on trusting God as we all need help and encouragement in that area every day of our lives. Blessings to you and your family, too.
